I note it’s designed to be picked up by a forklift. Palletized parking can now be a thing!

We had one of these “half cars” in auto shop at high school. Ours wasn’t a cool stick shift Honda, it was a Pontiac Lemans. :(

Ooooh, that explains those two holes. I couldn’t figure out for the life of me what those could be. Shit, I need to dig out more info about this thing. The craftsmanship here is impressive to say the least.

I would put a real axle and wheels on the back of that (with the wheels outboard, of course) and DD that. I’m a little concerned about handling dynamics with a track larger than the wheel base, but it could be a fun way to experiment.

From the original post:
04 Civic half-car from NASCAR Tech that they use for training. Had to replace the ECM because a student fried it.
I wonder what the heck NASCAR techs would be using half of an 04 Civic for?

I studied one year in automotive department in a technical school in Turku. The automotive department had a Nissan Micra teaching vehicle that had been donated by Nissan. Finnish importation taxes were quite significant so they decided to keep the vehicle out of road use and not pay the taxes.
But during the importation time you could import only parted vehicles without paying the taxes. So the Micra had been split in half like the Honda had been. But students had made new rear part out from some random parts so the car could be driven again.
Fun thing is that one other school (in Vaasa if I remember correctly) had received the rear part of the poor Micra! It must be so fun to teach the student how the back seat and rear lights work in car. They even got the fuel tank but sadly it was a carburetor car so there wasn’t a pump in the tank. But they could still learn how the fuel level sensor works.
